Tips to Save Money on your Rental

  • Search for the tourism bureau where you want to travel. Many official tourism bureaus will send printed guides with special packages for lodging, dining and activities. Search for these guides and promotional books, as this allows visitors to take advantage of those terrific attractions with a sometimes considerable discounted.
  • Prefer to steer clear of the crowds? Off-peak times provide substantive discounts.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the U.S. Military may be eligible for special discounts. Make sure to check with vacation rental company to see if your visiting crew qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Some properties are basically designed to serve particular customers, whether it's soundside homes with fishing pier passes, city-center homes with close access to shopping or waterfront homes that have their own jetski launching areas. Be sure to prioritize your proximity to the outdoor activities and sights you are most excited about.
  • Management companies and individual home owners commonly offer clients an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually add somewhere between 1% - 5% of the base term price, provides guests reimbursement of their vacation expenses for any days missed resulting from health emergencies or hurricanes, and additionally ensuing extra hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated motel stay or additional gas.

Searching for and reserving the right rental home:

Do you think "A Place At the Beach - Luxury Oceanfront Condo - Salt Water Pool" is the best vacation property for your upcoming getaway? Read through this guide to ensure it fits all of your preferences.

The Sooner You Begin, The Better The Selection

Wrightsville Beach vacation rentals book many months (and up to a year) in advance. To assure the very best selection of vacation rentals, we recommend searching and booking your Wrightsville Beach vacation home Six-12 months in advance, whenever possible. A lot of households plan to start their search over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year gatherings.

Find your Area and Choose Dates

Begin by deciding which specific area of Wrightsville Beach you want to browse, and the choose travel dates.

Selecting an Correctly-Sized Rental

Keep a list of attendees. How many beds and bedrooms will you be needing? Keep in mind that a lot of rentals list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in the living area. It is important to figure out what is most appropriate for your family. Precise descriptions of bedrooms and beds are commonly available online. If not, email or call the property manager before you reserve the home.

Stick to a Budget

Most rental properties are presented with a price range. Determine the cost for your selected stay. It might be at the top end of the range. Make sure that you get cost-sharing commitments from travel companions prior to booking an expensive rental. Most rental agreements call for a single individual to be in charge of the full reservation.

Let's Talk Amenities

What amenities is your group searching for? Is a screened-in deck a requirement? Are you more interested in a natural landscape or amusements? Does the rental have bikes and beach toys for use as part of your stay? Make a list of prioritized "needs and wishes" from your party to help narrow your search to the perfect home.

Accessibility and Special Circumstances

In some cases the elder generation has problems with stairways. If wheel chair accessibility, elevators, pool lifts or other special equipment is required, factor that into your search. Almost all rental home postings include a list of amenities.

Go ahead and Take the Dog

Make sure to include your furry family members. Dog policies are different at each rental property. Study descriptions thoroughly. Many constraints may possibly dismiss a prospective rental home. Examine your contract very carefully! Extra charges may apply when pets are included. Ask questions *before* you book!

Start your Search

Many internet resources exist to match guests with rental home owners.. In combination with Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we recommend searching Google for "Wrightsville Beach local rental homes" for local property management companies. In addition to offering distinctive rental properties, local agencies provide you with exceptional service..

Negotiate the Price

Re-read the description to be sure the home has everything you need. If something is missing, the home management company may know of very similar properties that fit your style and budget..

Although not true for all properties, many owners and property managers will make a deal on rates. If they are hesitant to budge on a peak-season stay, try getting an extra night. The off-season offers your best opportunity to make a deal for a lower rate.

Read the Contract

Read through the whole contract and be certain you are aware who is liable for:

  • Utilities
  • Internet
  • Long Distance Phone Service
  • Pool Heating
  • Pay Per View Movies
  • Cleaning services and housekeeping
  • Trash collection
  • Maintenance policies
  • Key exchange
  • Parking Fees

Ensure that your quoted fee includes all taxes and fees.

Cancellation Policies

Cancellation policies vary for each vacation rental. Many rental home agreements include an option for trip insurance. Trip insurance defends the renter against emergencies and weather events, It gives you comfort should tragedy strike.

Reserve It

When everything seems right, it's finally time for you to sign on the dotted line. You'll likely be asked to submit a security deposit at time of booking.

Know Who to Call

Don't forget to get the property manager's contact telephone number and entry/exit procedures for your vacation property. We suggest keeping the contact's information in your smartphone and wallet.

Congrats! All that is left is enjoying your visit!

During your Stay

  • To assure no damages are linked to your stay, create a record of any problem areas of the rental. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report your observations. If there is a disagreement about responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts could be helpful.
  • Ask questions. Should there be any ambiguity about parking, rules of the property, condo access, swimming pool functions, etc... we recommend you ask the rental home manager immediately. A phone call can save hours of hassle.
  • Please remember to respect your nearby neighbors. Permanent residents usually live within earshot. Remember the golden rule and treat others the same way you'd like to be treated by visitors next to your primary residence.
  • Ask a local. Locals are a fantastic source of recommendations.
  • Enjoy your stay! Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the vacation rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.

Leaving Paradise

  • Double-check each room of the rental property to assure you've gathered all personal belongings.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental home one last time and look for damage. If you can, do this walk-out inspection with the property owner present. If the property manager is not available, be sure to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • How do you feel about your stay? Just about all rental management companies and rental home sites allow renters to give comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they'll appreciate your compliments. If anything went wrong, we recommend being pleasant but genuine with regards to rental experience. The best owners and managers will try very hard to rectify the issue.

Learn from your Stay

Hold a meeting with your travel companions. Did everyone have a blast? If everything was fantastic, next year's vacation planning is going to be relatively easy. If the rental property was not quite right, and you will better know how to improve your search next time.

Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
