Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

• Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
• Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
• Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses.
