While the property was previously considered oceanfront, recent coastal erosion and the addition of enormous rocks have altered direct beach access. Guests can now effortlessly reach the sand via a short walk to either the close by state park entrance to the north or the beach access path off Carolina Beach Avenue to the south. A convenient hose is supplied for rinsing off sand before entering the unit.
