How to book the best Holden Beach vacation home experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Family & Pet Friendly, Conveniently Located, Fishermen Welcomed! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
