Our top Carolina Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Choosing and booking your prefect Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Spanish Mediterrean Studio located in the heart of Carolina Beach. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your invoice.

More tips for your visit:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
