The restaurant is found just off of College Road, in a fairly nondescript building that’s close to the Hugh MacRae Park. The buffet is priced by lunch or dinner, as well as the day of the week, with special discounts for kids, seniors, and even military personnel on Tuesdays. The array of fare on the buffet changes daily, and each day has a selection of 2-6 main items that are accompanied with a host of southern side dishes. Examples include chicken pastry and beef liver and onions on Monday, BBQ turkey wings and meatloaf on Thursday, and a host of main dishes, including shrimp and grits, baked ham, roast beef, and turkey and dressing, on Sundays. Side dishes include salads, mac and cheese, hush puppies, cole slaw, and other southern classics, and there’s also a selection of desserts, like banana pudding, to cap off a meal. Especially enticing on Sundays when the buffet is at its biggest and most diverse, Carolina BBQ House is designed for giant appetites.
