The Cape Fear region is well-known for its exceptional golf courses, and vacationers who want to get in on the fun on a “miniature” scale can play an easy-going 18-holes at the Jungle Golf mini golf course. Challenging enough for all ages, with plenty of wildlife to admire along the way, this jungle-themed course has just enough twists, turns, and obstacles to keep everyone in the family on their toes while having a little outdoor fun off the beach.
Jungle Golf is easy to reach for veritably all Oak Island visitors, and is located directly along Oak Island Drive – the main road that cuts through the island – and is just a few blocks away from the beach. The course has 18 holes that average a par 3-4, and which are bordered by plaster elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other tropical animals that are otherwise hard to find on the Oak Island shoreline. There’s also plenty of tall palm trees and local foliage to provide a little shade and protection from the busy adjacent streets. Accessible for golfers both young and old, and open well into the evening, Jungle Golf presents a fun off-the-beach excursion that family members of all ages can enjoy.
