Don’t be deterred by the lack of reviews, my property was managed by a local property management company until late 2023 and is brand new to Vacation Rental By Owner. I am a Super Host on another platform for another property I own, so be assured you are in good hands!

OIB is a very family-friendly destination and the playground on the island is currently undergoing updates/additions and should be ready by summer 2024. The Summer Concert Series on Friday nights throughout the summer are a blast for the whole family. Come experience all that OIB has to offer.

Please note that linens are not supplied with the rental (except for kitchen towels); you may bring your own, or we will refer you to a local linen rental service.

Getting the most from your spending budget:

• Summertime is the most expensive season in Ocean Isle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
• Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
• Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
• Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
• Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
• Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

• Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
• Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
• Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
• Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
