Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summertime is high season in Wilmington. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Wrightsville Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.   • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
