Only a fool would think this is NOT heaven! This handsome inverted floor plan canal home (1K, 4Q, 1FT) has both character and space! Sleeps 11. The first-floor bedroom has a private bath and French doors that open to the deck with a striking marsh view.

Savor expansive vistas of the ocean, marsh, and Intracoastal Waterway from the 32 feet top floor deck. Catch the ocean breeze and watch the wild deer come out at sunset for a drink from the marsh. Unwind on one of the covered porches. Take advantage of the huge deck on the canal with a floating dock to anchor your boat after a bountiful day on the water. Bring your own fishing rods and crab nets; fish right off the dock! Blue crabs, and occasionally a stone crab will show up in your nets. Beach access is across from Marlin St., about a 5-min. walk (380 yards).

Everyone will appreciate having comfortably furnished living areas with enormous flat-screen HDTVs on both levels. The primary bedroom on the second level has a private bath and additional den with a futon for sleeping. The kitchen is entirely equipped with a sizable eat-in counter for 6 and the dining room has table seating for 10. Outdoor charcoal grille in the backyard. Additional deck on the canal, and outdoor shower on the ground floor for guests' use. Please note that the boat lift is not included with the rental of this home.

Embrace the warmth of southern 'Hobbspitality'! Appreciate a welcome set of starter amenities, including one roll of paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap, and a sponge. All bathrooms include one roll of toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, makeup wipes, and bar soap. Your beds are made with fresh linens and a lightweight blanket, so you can jump right into making memories rather than making beds! While we provide a lightweight blanket, we urge you to bring additional layers for your comfort. Please note that while top bunk beds, trundles, sleeper couches, futons, and daybeds will not be made, we will provide fresh linens for them.

As a gift to you, this home offers a $250 credit for you to select top-quality beach gear for your vacation stay. You can choose from a range of items including bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards, body boards, and more. Simply select the gear you want for your vacation at least 48 hours before your scheduled check-in date, and VayK Gear will take care of the rest! Please note, a modest delivery fee may apply.

Tips to get the optimal Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To get the best value, consider changing your family's Wrightsville Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Hobbs Realty - \"Fool's Paradise\" an island home on the canal with boat dock, 2 living rooms and great water views! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
