When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Wilmington. To get the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
