3 Bedrooms | 2 Full Bathrooms
1 King | 1 Queen | 1 Twin-over-double Bunk Bed

See the Sea from the comfort of your porch during a stay at this classic beach bungalow just across the street from the Atlantic and loaded with family-friendly amenities! Greet the day as the sun warms your skin from the constructed-in bench seating on the ocean-facing front deck, or relax in the shade of the screened porch as you watch the waves instead.

Recently refreshed for the start of the 2025 season, gather in the living room and settle on the new couch, loveseat or armchair as you watch the game on the 70” Intelligent TV mounted over the electric fireplace. In addition to Roku-equipped TVs in each bedroom, there’s even one in the completely equipped kitchen, so the family chef can keep up with the score as they prepare the catch of the day. Dine together at the sturdy square table set for six, with three additional seats available at the adjacent breakfast bar. Or getaway to the rear screened porch instead, where an outdoor dining table for six accepts you to eat dinner while appreciating the island air.

The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed and features an en-suite bathroom. The roomy step-in shower with elegant teal and grey tile offers a spa-like feel and invites you to relax after a long day of adventure. A second full bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo is located between the remaining two bedrooms. The secondary bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed. The final bedroom, which features a twin-over-double bunk bed, also has plenty of entertainment for the kiddos thanks to a TV/VCR combo and PlayStation 2 and 3 gaming consoles! Kids of all ages are welcome here, with this home providing cabinet locks, outlet covers, toys, Port-a-Crib and two highchairs to make your stay (and the packing process!) anxiety-complimentary.

Additional 2025 updates include new rugs throughout the home, expanded closest doors, new bunkroom furnishings and bladeless ceiling fans with remotes in the master bedroom and bunkroom. Parking is at the rear of the home off of Dolphin Drive and is not allowed at the front of the home, but you’ll find plenty of space for your cars, with covered parking available as well. An enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water as well as an open showerhead under the home make rinsing sand off your little ones after a day on the beach a breeze. And when it is time to hit the beach, a walk of roughly 600 feet takes you from your doorstep to the spot where you’ll lay your towel via the public access point just a few homes down.

Tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • To find the best value, shift your family's Wrightsville Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have deals for nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. See The Sea: Oceanview beach cottage in East Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or applied to your agreement.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
