About this Property

  • Sleeps 2
  • 1 Bedrooms
  • 1 Bathrooms
  • Cottage
  • Approximately 465 square feet

Adults only, (all guests must be 21 or older). Two guests max!!! Also, I get a lot of requests for modest family pets. Due to safety and health concerns, I cannot accommodate any pets at all. That includes service or support animals. No 3rd event bookings. The person booking, must be the person staying and the person that's name is on the account. The bungalow is to the rear left of my property behind the main home where I reside. If you look at the aerial photo, you can see the proximity the bungalow is to the home. It's about a 25 foot distance. It is very private though but for purposes of full disclosure, some outdoor spaces are visible from my ring cameras. For instance, my ring camera at my back door can pick up who enters the back yard and bungalow but does not pick up images from inside the bungalow or the private back patio to the bungalow. I also have a ring camera on my front door that can see the driveway. That being said, you’re going to adore the privacy and the location of this cozy bungalow, tucked away smack dab between Wrightsville and Carolina Beach in the fashionable Masonboro section of Wilmington. For those unfamiliar with Wilmington, this area is not only very desired, but also very safe! The driveway is not paved and the path to the bungalow is also unpaved but has concrete stepping stones that lead you to the bungalow door. The middle space in the parking area is the designated space for the bungalow. There is only one parking space designated for the bungalow. If you have a friend or family member stop by for a visit, they will need to park in the street in front of my home. If you are interested in booking the bungalow, please note: No events or events. No smoking or vaping of anything inside bungalow or patio room. No pets of any kind including service animals. Not suitable for kids. Guests must be twenty one and older. Two guest max. Please do not remove any artwork from walls, including the nude woman pencil drawing in the bathroom. If the artwork in my home offends anyone, it is best they don't book a stay at the bungalow.

This 465sf Cozy Cottage comes with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Conveniences also include washer and dryer, the full kitchen minus a dishwasher, Keurig for coffee, tea, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc... A modest brick private patio off the back of the bungalow has a table and two chairs, a lion fountain, and roses and flowers seasonally. Other outdoor spaces include the fire pit and the patio room. The fire pit and patio room are shared spaces but your back patio is all for you. Please note that there is no smoking or vaping of anything inside the patio room. All vaping and smoking must be done outside. The bungalow has an open floor plan design with a queen size bed. There is also a modest drop leaf table (that gets much bigger), and two chairs that can be used for eating, a work space, or for playing board games on a rainy day. The sizable flat screen tv is a roku intelligent tv with streaming capability. Use the Spectrum App included to access basic channels or use your own apps like Netflix, Prime, Hulu, HBO, etc... There is also a dvd player and a library of fun dvds. For a full list of amenities, click to see amenities.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect Wrightsville Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit Wilmington & When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Wilmington. Book your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to choose and book the perfectrental home:

  • First, have your group agree to dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. The Artist's Cottage is the ideal home away from home! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your invoice.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
