Ogden Park

Outdoor lovers and active visitors of all tastes will have a fine time at the engaging Ogden Park. Located just northeast of the Downtown area, and convenient to Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach visitors alike, this vast public park has veritably every form of entertainment under the sun, from league-worthy sporting fields and venues, to quiet nature trails where local wildlife abounds.

The park is located just off of Market Street, with multiple parking areas and ample room to get out and explore. Sports fans will find three baseball fields at the park, as well as a softball field, three regulation football/soccer fields with lights, a youth football stadium, and 9 lighted tennis courts which are available on a first-come, first serve basis. Patrons who aren’t in the mood for a pick-up game can head to the relaxing .5 mile long nature trail, which encircles a small interior lake, and which presents lovely views of the local geese and ducks via a number of benches and shaded sitting areas. The park also features three reservable picnic shelters and a playground, which makes it a solid option for a picnic lunch or a kid-friendly afternoon of fun. Regardless of age of interest, everyone will find something to love at the popular Ogden Park.
