Tips for getting the best Wrightsville Beach vacation home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the best rental:

  • Select your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Cozy Bungalow just off Castle St has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
