Bedroom 4 is a enchanting bunk room with two bunk beds (4 twins), ideal for the young and young-at-heart. Bedroom 5 is equipped with a queen-size bed and a flat-screen TV. Bedrooms 4 and 5 share a bathroom with a shower/tub combo, providing ample convenience for families. The Bald Head Island Club and Shoals Club operate independently from BHI Vacations, and guest memberships must be purchased directly through each club. Availability varies by home listing, and during the summer season, memberships may sell out quickly. To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend securing your club membership as early as possible.

Additionally, the Bald Head Island ferry system is independently operated and not affiliated with BHI Vacations. To ensure a smooth arrival and departure, we encourage guests to book ferry and tram reservations well in advance.

When to go & When to book:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserve your Wrightsville Beach rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself.   • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.

  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
