Tricks and tips to get the best Wrightsville Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Wrightsville Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Luxury Canal Home, Gorgeous views short walk to beach! 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
  • If there's a specific Wrightsville Beach destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.

Additional considerations:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
