Welcome to our Forest getaway on Bald Head Island! We fell in appreciate with Bald Head Island 12 years ago, rented all over the island, and finally pulled the trigger on this spectacular home and have never looked back. Our splendid home is located in the Forest (we LOVE being in the forest) among enormous oak trees with hanging Spanish Moss, and peaceful tree lined streets. Our home is also on a cul-de-sac, no thru traffic, great for the kids playing outdoors. The home was constructed in 2006, practically brand new! Has 3 bedrooms, reverse floor plan (living area upstairs), 2 four person golf carts, Wifi, 4 flat screen TV/cable, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers, high chair, pack and play, infant intercom system- everything one could possibly need.
**We have Sports membership at Bald Head Island Club (including golf).
**We do NOT have access to the Shoals club.
** 7 nighttime minimum stay during peak season- June, July, August.
**This is a NON SMOKING home
**This is a dog friendly home. NO cats.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • Summer time is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, selecting, and booking yourrental:

  • Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Luxury Forest Retreat has 3 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. text the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
