Sailing is a two-bedroom, reverse floor plan bungalow centrally located to all of the island's amenities. Both bedrooms have access to ocean front porches. The living room, kitchen and dining areas are upstairs, providing exceptional vistas of the Atlantic Ocean.

Sailing is located on the ocean shores of Flora's Bluff, which has won national architecture awards for design and environmental planning. Flora's Bluff's architectural style was inspired by the legendary Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port and in the spirit of classical New England coastal villages, and has been featured in Southern Living, Coastal Living and Golf Digest.

Sailing has tv's in both bedrooms and in the living room. The bungalow also has wifi and a stereo system. Sailing comes equipped with a 4 passenger golf cart

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in South Beach, a neighborhood in Bald Head Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center. When to go & When to reserve a Bald Head Island rental home:

• In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
• Summer months are the most expensive season in Bald Head Island. To find the best rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Wrightsville Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
• Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
• Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation family.
• Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
• Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
• Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Some things to know before you go:

• Put the host's information in your smartphone.
• Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
• Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
• Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
• Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
• Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
