White Front is a no-frills breakfast joint that’s found within a weather-worn, one-story building on the outskirts of the downtown area, and despite its humble exterior, is a popular local go-to for good breakfast food without the fuss. Featuring a heavy menu of staples, with incredibly attractive prices, White Front may not be an eye-catching destination, but it will nonetheless leave visitors with plenty of funds to enjoy a shopping spree in the neighboring shops and attractions.
The menu is basic, but classic, with a variety of sandwiches, omelets, pancakes and French toast, and all-encompassing breakfast plates. Hungry patrons can dive into two-egg platters serves with hamburger steak, country ham, corned beef hash, smoked sausage or even NY strip, while lighter appetites will be attracted to the simple biscuit or toast sandwiches with bacon, egg, and / or a sausage patty. The omelets are nicely varied but traditional, with choices like a country ham western, a bacon and cheese, and a mushroom, peppers and onions selection, while the pancakes & French toast – which are served up with the diner’s choice of meats - are always filling.
Simple and good, with a classic diner interior and a small lunch menu that also features American fare, White Front is the place to go to enjoy Wilmington cuisine without the bells and whistles.

While Wrightsville Beach has a collection of hotels and motels, the primary type of accommodations in this region are vacation rentals. There are literally hundreds of vacation rentals in the town of Wrightsville Beach, which are scattered throughout the landscape and are found along the oceanfront, soundfront, and in between waterfront regions in the interior section of the island. Because of the sheer geography of this skinny barrier island, guests in vacation rentals will never be far from the town’s top attractions, which include the local beaches, the waterfront boasting, fishing, and paddling scenes, and the variety of shops and restaurants that are found throughout the area.
Little Lollipop Bay is a small oval-shaped bay that lies just north of the US 74 / Wrightsville Beach Bridge. The small enclosure of water, surrounded by vacation rental homes with private docks and fishing piers, is a popular launching point for novice kayakers, windsurfers and kiteboarders who want to enjoy a quick paddle in a safe location, or experienced boaters who want a fast way to head out to the deserted, and barely-above-water islands in between Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach.
