Tips and Tricks for getting the best rental home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Summertime is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by having your group choose date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. A few open dates !! Bring your “whole” family we are PET FRIENDLY!! +Elevator\n has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a certain Wrightsville Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
