You will appreciate everything Timbercreek 18A has to offer for your vacation to Bald Head Island. Besides the comfortable accommodations and the charming creek vistas, you have access to one of the few private pools on the island and our Timbercreek dock. We rent Sunday to Sunday from mid June through the first week of August. Feel complimentary to use our two kayaks to discover the creek. The dock also accepts for crabbing and fishing just steps from the condo. We provide two golf carts for exploring the island and for painless access to the beach of course!

There is a garage that stores one of the golf carts, beach amenities, and a full size washer and dryer. All Timbercreek buildings consist of two properties. The A unit is the top floor, the B unit is the middle floor and the garages are on the base floor. The buildings are gorgeously spaced apart so you can appreciate sitting on the outdoor screened in porch. We have comfortable patio seating for 6-7 guests.

You have the option to purchase a weekly membership to the Bald Head Island Club for access to their pools, tennis courts, eateries, and golf course.

About the Area

This condo is located in Bald Head Island. Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport. With kayaking, motor boating, and surfing/body boarding nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

Sticking to your budget:

  • Summertime is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
  • The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.

  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
