Two TV's with basic cable, two DVD players, wireless internet access. Master suite with walk-in closet and private bath, stand alone tile shower with rainmaker shower head and hottub tub. Ceiling fans throughout. Oceanview covered porch with furnishings, dedicated condo community beach walkway across the street with gazebo. Additional condo community amenities include a seasonal pool, hot tub, grilling area and outside shower.

The Yaupon Dunes pool is open annually from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Specific condo communities may keep the pool open past Labor Day depending on the homeowner's association's recommendation.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this condo is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Oak Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and Founders Club at St. James Plantation. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Oak Island. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.

  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.

  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback.
