Located in the Maritime Forest, seemingly far away from it all, but surprisingly close to everything: two mins. to the beach or market; three to Old Baldy and the BHI Club. Though you may never want to leave the back porch. After a day or riding the waves, sink deep in the cushions with a drink and book and end up quietly pondering the sculptural intricacies of Live Oak trees.
The living room has a cathedral ceiling that floods the room with light and makes the comfortable space feel even bigger. The 46-inch intelligent TV is perched above a rare cedar mantle. Live Edge Oak shelves add more warmth to the room. The open floor plan, flowing into the dining area, gives everybody the chance to be together-and spread out. In the kitchen, stainless steel nestles up to old heart pine shelving. The upstairs bedroom and full bath are the ideal getaway along with a separate living room. In the crofter, over the garage, is yet another queen bed and full bath. Three golf carts. Membership to the BHI Club available.

• Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
• Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
• Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
• Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
• On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
• Did you have a wonderful time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise.
