Tips for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wrightsville Beach area. Reserve your Wrightsville Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose the right Wrightsville Beach rental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. NEW 2025! Completely renovated 2 Bedroom & 2 Bath condo located in Royal James has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your contract.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
