Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group agree to a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. DOG FRIENDLY - Second Row ...Ruff Life beach cottage. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
