Welcome to Once Upon a Tide. Savor the spectacular sunsets from your own back porch! This 4 bedroom / 3.5 bath is located in Killegray on the dune ridge. The main home consists of 3 bedrooms, which are located downstairs. The first bedroom is a queen master suite. The 2nd bedroom consists of a king bed and the 3rd bedroom has 2 twins. The two bedrooms share a bath located in the hall. Upstairs is all about the view! The main living area, kitchen, dining and half bath are all located on the 2nd story. There is a balcony off of the living area that over looks the Atlantic Ocean. We also have a screen porch downstairs if you just want to get savor a peaceful cup of coffee. The crofter outside has a separate master bedroom and bathroom with a queen bed.

Finding your perfect rental:

• Summertime is high season in Bald Head Island. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
• The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
• Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
• Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
• Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
• Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
