About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Cape Fear Station, a neighborhood in Bald Head Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James. North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.

  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it.
