Rest A Shored is a charmingly designed 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom oceanfront home appealingly located on Oak Island's beautiful East Beach. With sweeping Atlantic vistas, painless beach access, and a pet-friendly policy, this open-concept getaway is the ideal setting for memorable island adventures with family and family.

Inside, the first floor welcomes you with a sun-filled living space designed for gathering and calming. Sink into the upsized sectional and savor movie nights on the huge flat-screen TV after a full day of sun and surf. The dining table seats six comfortably, with additional seating for four at the kitchen counter—ideal for family meals, game nights, or lingering conversations over coffee.

The entirely outfitted kitchen provides everything you need to prepare favorite recipes or fresh local seafood. A convenient laundry nook is also located on this level, ideal for keeping beach towels fresh throughout your stay. Just across the hall is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The oceanfront bedroom on this floor features a queen bed, wall-mounted TV, and direct access to the deck—wake up to the sound of the waves just steps away.
Upstairs, a comfortable reading nook overlooks the ocean through upsized windows, creating the ideal spot to relax with a good book. The remaining three bedrooms and two full bathrooms are located on this level, each bedroom equipped with its own flat-screen TV. The primary suite offers a queen bed, gorgeous ocean vistas, and a private bathroom with a glass-door shower. The two additional bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a tub/shower combo—one bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a twin bed, while the final bedroom features a twin-over-double bunk.

Step outside and appreciate everything coastal living has to offer. Unwind on the partially covered porch, soak in sunset vistas from the open deck, or lounge in supplied outdoor seating while appreciating the sea breeze. Constructed-in benches, a cold-water rinse station, and an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water make cleaning up after beach days a breeze. A charcoal grille is also available for laid-back family cookouts.
Located less than a mile from Middleton Park, guests can effortlessly enjoy evening concerts, the splash pad, and seasonal events. With convenient access to both island bridges, day trips to Southport or Wilmington are effortless.

Whether you're sipping coffee at sunrise, watching dolphins play offshore, or enjoying time well spent with appreciated ones (and pups), Rest A Shored offers the ideal balance of comfort, location, and coastal appeal.

Plus, your furry friends are welcome, as this home accepts up to two dogs. All pet-friendly homes include a $175 fee that covers bringing up to one dog. An additional $50 fee applies if you are bringing a second dog. Please note that dogs are the only family pets allowed.

BEACH CREDIT
Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights, April through October, come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear units during your stay! You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more! The choice is yours.

WHAT IS PROVIDED?
Linens are included with your reservation and contain the following: flat and fitted bedsheets, pillowcases, bath towels and mats, hand towels, and wash cloths.

MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS
As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7-nighttime minimum with a mandatory Saturday-to-Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons.
