“American Dream” is located on an upsized lot on a peaceful cul-de-sac with impressive vistas of the Bald Head Island golf course and lagoon. This beauty was completely restored and taken down to the studs in 2020 and will be open for new units Spring of 2021! The home has been professionally decorated and tons of upgrades and nice finishing touches. The lower level contains 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a combo bath and shower. Bedroom 1 has a twin plus a bunk with a twin on top and a double bed on the bottom. Bedroom 2 has a queen-sized bed. Upstairs is the main living area with a gourmet / well outfitted kitchen, half bath, broad porch overlooking the great water vistas of the lagoon and 2 master suites. Both master suites include king beds and private baths. The 3rd level is a loft with great ocean vistas! It also contains a separate bedroom with 2 queens. Three four passenger golf carts are also included for your enjoyment with the beach being less than a min. cart ride away!

Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Caswell Beach. North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. With kayaking, surfing/body boarding, and fishing nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

Get the best value:

• The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
• Summer time is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
• Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
• Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
• Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

• Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is right for your family.
• If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
• Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
• Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Advice for your stay:

• Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
• Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
• Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
• Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
• At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
• Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
