Tips to get the perfect Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in Oak Island. Booking your Wrightsville Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 2nd Row Fantastic Views - steps from the Ocean! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If not, call the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Wrightsville Beach destination you are crazy about, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. message the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
