Our home is a piling beach home with our main living upstairs. The enclosed bottom is a studio apartment/suite for you to appreciate. We are on the calming Davis Canal with a dock where you can spend time drinking coffee or beverages, reading, fishing, kayaking, boating and appreciating sunrises/sunsets. Appreciate the handsome, shared in ground pool and hot tub area. We are two blocks from the beach, a fast, painless walk or bicycle ride.
The space:
It is a private studio apartment with a private entrance, a queen bed, private bathroom with tile shower and towel warmer, and a blue tooth fan for enjoying music. The living area has a comfortable, reclining couch. There is no kitchen, but there is a microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot with pods and coffee. Dishes, silverware, and wine glasses are included. Savor the shared pool area with hot tub and the shared dock area. The grille is available for you to use. Bikes, chairs , kayaks and backpack cooler are by elevator for use.

We have a private dock for boat docking for a fee.
We have two friendly dogs that will bark when they see you, but just want attention.

About the Area

This apartment is located in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport.

Tips to get the best rental home experience:

When to visit Oak Island & When to book:

• Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
• Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
• Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.

• Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
• Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
