Our top Wilmington vacation rental tips and tricks:

When to book a Wrightsville Beach rental home & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Wilmington. Booking your Wrightsville Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the bestrental home:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Palazzo Sul Monte-Cinque has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
