Tips to get the perfect rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To get the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental in Bald Head Island:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Marsh views, walking distance to oldest lighthouse in NC has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Wrightsville Beach attraction you love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
