Strategies for getting the perfect Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wrightsville Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Driftwood cottage, close to beach & cb lake has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is right for your trip.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Wrightsville Beach attraction you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
