The Space:
BookSmart Properties presents: Cub's Cottage! This Oak Island home is only half a mile from the beach and is ideally detailed from the outside in. The interior is completely updated with modern appliances, decor, and furnishings. Step in the door of Cub's Cottage and you are greeted with a comfortable living room where your family will adore curling up with a good book, or watching a movie in the evenings.

The open concept flows seamlessly from the living room to the dining & kitchen area. The dining table seats 7, with 2 additional barstools behind it. Light streams in from the porch doors, through which you will find an outdoor dining table to appreciate al fresco meals on the deck! The kitchen is shining with modern appliances, and the chef in your family has plenty of space and equipment to prep delicious food throughout your stay.

The master king suite is located just off the kitchen & features a private full bath, equipped with a handsome shower and double vanities! The queen room and bunk room are found off the living room and share a full hall bath.

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.

  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
