About this Property

  • Sleeps 7
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 1 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1200 square feet

Abundance on the Rocks is our oceanfront bungalow with an enormous front porch just feet from the crashing waves. Open the sliding glass doors by the dining room table to feel like you’re picnicking on the sand, or stretch out on the couch and watch swaying sea grass, rolling sand and miles of ocean. This year the state of North Carolina brought in tons of sand, so our beach is humongous!
Three bedrooms and one bathroom (plus an outdoor hot shower with privacy), each room has its own climate control, so the front of the home can be opened to the sound of waves while the back bedrooms stay cool and serene.

The deck has a table for eating, chairs for calming and still there’s room to play.
Under the home is a shaded swing to relax and read a book or wait for the grille to finish off your dinner. A few paces towards the ocean and you come to the fire pit. With fires prohibited on all public beaches, having your own private oceanfront place to roast hot dogs under the stars is a an uncommon luxury.
The Carolina Beach fishing pier is just a few homes to the North. The pier is home to tiki bar, live music, and a modest restaurant.
The access to Freeman Park is also just two blocks away! With a pass you can take your 4 Wheel Drive car onto the pristine sands, set up chairs, fish and appreciate the vistas. Off season fires are allowed in Freeman Park.
There are coffee stores, eateries, cafés, bicycle units, surfboard units, surfing schools, live music venues, the boardwalk, the famed Britts Donuts... The list goes on and on, and all of these things are within a short bicycle ride of the home. You could also rent a golf cart! That makes even grocery shopping fun.

The home is oceanfront, with an unobstructed view north and south also. Do note that there are huge boulders for purposes of keeping down erosion (as seen in the photos). The boulders are between the yard and the beach, so to access the wider sandy beach, guests can either walk through/across the rocks which is painless as long as your balance is not compromised by age or an injury. Or you can walk two tons to the south and use the public access.

Carolina Beach vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Reserve your Wrightsville Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
