Strategies to get the very best vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the best rental home in Oak Island:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sunshine corner, island central - sleeps 10, bikes, firepit - main level unit has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach destination you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
