Strategies to get the optimal Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To book the best rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to choose the best rental in Oak Island:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. The Lazy Lemur Retreat - Entire house at the beach - West Oak Island has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
