Sleeps 8 comfortably. One block simple access to the beach. Nearby eateries, shopping, entertainment, Boardwalk, State Park, Aquarium and more!

Happy-Ours is nearly brand new, constructed in 2018, and freshly furnished with everything needed for an extraordinary beach vacation. It is a reverse floor plan, comfortably sleeping 8 with three bedrooms and two full baths on the main floor, and one bedroom with a full bath on the top floor. Located just one block and painless access to the beach, you're also mins. from eateries, stores, breweries, Island Greenway trails for cycling or walking / running, the Carolina Beach State Park and a recreation center. Because of our location, you don't have to worry about the hassle of parking, and after a day at the beach you have access to our outdoor shower and lower level bathroom if needed.

The home is also just mins. from the Carolina Beach boardwalk, Fort Fischer State Recreation Area, North Carolina Aquarium and so much more.

The Space:

Designed for comfort and relaxation, we chose a layout and amenities we would hope for in a vacation rental.

The reverse style floorplan of the home makes it ideal to share with friends and family and provides better vistas of the ocean and sunrises from the top floor.

The lower level is where you access the home, and also features a covered parking area, outdoor shower and half bath which is convenient during beach days. The home also has an elevator, which makes it convenient to move your supplies and suitcases, or for people who have difficulty with stairs.

On the main floor, there is a master bedroom with full bath and a covered walkout porch. Down the hall is the first of two spare bedrooms with a bunk bed - full on the top, full on the bottom. The second of two spare bedrooms also features a bunk bed - single on the top, full on the bottom. The spare bedrooms share a full size bath located between the two rooms. The main floor is also where the laundry room is located, with front-loading washer and dryer.

On the top floor you'll appreciate a completely furnished, cavernous kitchen with a dual stove and gas cooktop, plentiful cabinet space, a sizable granite countertop and stainless steel appliances. We've also had a whole home Kinetco water filtration and reverse osmosis system installed. Just beyond the kitchen is an open dining area, game table and living room with enormous screen intelligent TV. Outside the living room is a walkout covered porch to savor the weather or watch the sunrise! Also on the top floor is a bedroom with queen-size bed and a full bath.

Guest Access:

While you're staying here, the home will be your private beach getaway. You'll have access through the main door or via the elevator, whichever is easiest and most convenient for the guests.

Interactions with Guests:

For check-in, you will receive a personalized keyless entry code for the door on the lower level. Once inside, we'll provide a key for the door to access the elevator. You can arrive anytime after 4 PM on your first day and leave by 11 AM on your last day.

Though we will not be at the home during your stay, we are only a text or phone call away. We have pulled together a list of our favorite local spots and adventures which will be supplied to you to help make the most of your stay.

Other Things to Note:

Please bag all your trash / recycling and make sure to put it in the proper container located in the parking area during your stay and upon departure. If you would like additional cleaning service during your stay, that can be arranged after booking and before your stay for an additional fee.

The home is also our personal vacation home and one we plan to pass down the family, so please treat it as you would your own, leaving it in the same or better condition than you found it (minus the cleaning, which the crew will take care of for you).

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Wilmington Beach, a neighborhood in Carolina Beach. Ocean Front Park and Federal Point History Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School. Tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking yourrental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Townhouse a block from beach, Ocean facing, EZ Access elevator, Covered parking! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a certain Wrightsville Beach attraction you love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
