This 1938 Dutch colonial beauty is rich in history and has been completely remodeled and refreshed. Located just blocks from the ocean to the east and wooded parks to the west, this home is in the ideal location for all island activities. This historic home features 5 bedrooms, 4 full baths with the capacity to sleep up to 14 people. Note: Towels and linens are not supplied.

This five-bedroom uniquely designed home is located only 4 blocks from the Boardwalk and the ocean, comfortably accessible by a multi-use bicycle/pedestrian trail just across the street. There is a fenced-in patio on the side of the home, and a deck on the back with an outdoor shower.

Every bed has pillows and comforters. Towels and linens are not included for this property. Towels and linens can be rented from Oceanside Linen. Total sheet sets needed: 3-Queen beds (queen sheets will work on XL double), 1-Queen couch bed, 1-Double bed, 1-Double futon bed, and 4-Twin/trundle beds.

The upstairs sleeps 10 comfortably and features 4 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen with en-suite bath with an adjoining bedroom with a single bed and trundle; bedroom 2 has a double XL bed; bedroom 3 has a double bed; and bedroom 4 has a twin bed with trundle. Also, the upstairs loft has a double futon. The downstairs sleeps 4, and featuring a master bedroom with a queen bed and an en-suite bath, as well as a queen pull-out couch in the living room.

Units are flexible, with 3-nighttime minimum stay. There is parking for 4 to 5 cars in the back of the property.

History-
Monty Sly constructed this home for his family in 1938. The family lived in the downstairs and rented out the upstairs rooms during WW II to young wives whose husbands were in the service. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, romantically rich in history and close the beach this is your place!

Located in Carolina Beach, this vacation home is in the city center and near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, while Carolina Beach Boardwalk and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are popular area attractions.   • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation home.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review.
