Vacation rental home tips:

When to go & When to book:

  • Summertime is high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Reserve your rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and choosing your Wrightsville Beach vacation home:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. West End Gulls~Beach Access~Astonishing Views~Dog Friendly~Low Cleaning Fee has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If there's an individual Wrightsville Beach destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
