Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:

When to visit Carolina Beach & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, change your family's Wrightsville Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Ocean view and steps to the beach North End of Carolina Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a particular Wrightsville Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
