Our top Wrightsville Beach rental home tips:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have deals for nearby tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Pelican Perch - 3rd floor views of the ocean and marsh - perfect for wildlife viewing. by RedAwning has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
