Travel Suggestions:

Carolina Beach undergoes beach renourishment every three years, with the latest project expected to complete in late Fall 2025. While this may affect some beach access points, our access remains available with great vistas and experiences, but there is less beach this year. We recommend walking down the left a little for long beach days.

How to get the best Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Country Coastal Condo w/ Ocean View and Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If not, email the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
