Vacation rental booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • To get the largest rental within budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the perfect rental home:

  • First, have your family select date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. ??Oceanfront Carolina-Ocean Views-Dog Friendly-Gated Deck-Gas Grill?? has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
